Cowboys and Aliens

  • This was a promotion that was so far ahead of its time that PK Founder, Tony Priscaro, cold called Universal Studios and they actually picked up the phone!  Priscaro and technical partner for this project and long-time friend, Jim Varga, created this concept when everyone was trying to get "LIKES" on their Facebook page.
  • Priscaro sold it to Universal Studios for their Blockbuster Summer (July) movie, at the time, "Cowboys and Aliens."  One more fun fact, Priscaro sold this nearly seven-figure, 8-race deal, over the phone to one of the largest entertainment companies in the world!
  • The goal for Universal Studios was to get NASCAR fans to go to the movies' Facebook page and "LIKE" the movie FB Page, (they captured their information so they could later market the DVD release at Christmas).  The reward was the Race fans would get their FB profile picture inserted into a mosaic Cowboys and Aliens paint scheme that would run at the Daytona Summer Nascar Xfinity Series Race.  There were 50,000 FB images on the Daytona race car.  This was the first of its kind and this promotion received global attention.  The Priscaro/Varga combination of creating original ideas would attribute to more firsts in NASCAR to present day.
